Carey, a former top model in fashion who measured at 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father is a distinguished scientist who was named Scientist of the Year in 1979 at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey traveled all over in honor of her father's efforts. When she was a student at the University of Colorado, Carey began to model on the side. The Ford's model agency located in New York noticed her and was willing to assist. She stayed in France for a short time, including Paris as well as Bordeaux. After that, she came back in New York for her college studies as well as to develop her career as a model. As she modeled as she studied in full-time a major in literature within New York University. Gradually she became interested in acting, and began studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. In 1986 she had her first acting role, a bit part in Club Paradise, with Robin Williams. White water rafting, skis and rock climbing are among her preferred things to do.
